Tiwanaku Pre-Columbian archaeological site in western Bolivia.

One of the most remarkable monuments of the ancient world – the Sun Gate. They are cut from a large rock monolith gray-green andesite width of 3.8 m, 3 m high and 0.5 m thick, their weight – about 10 tons. Above the opening carved figure of the god Viracocha, which was the capital of Tiwanaku.

These pyramids are called “Huaca”, the largest of them – the Huaca Larga (“Long Pyramid”), the length of which is 700m. at 280m width. and a height of 30m. They are all built of mud clay bricks.
