Zholobovo village located in the south-eastern part of the Smolensk region. At 31 km north-east of Ugra, 11 km north of the R132 road Vyazma – Kaluga – Tula – Ryazan, on the banks of the river Shitovka. 26 km west of the village there is a railway station on Volosta-Pyatnica line Torzhok-Bryansk.
During World War II Zholobovo village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941, released in March 1943.
