Church of the Dormition of the village of Shchuchye
Ostashkov district of Tver region. Stone Church of the Assumption of the
Blessed Virgin Mary with chapels of St. Nicholas and the Iberian Mother of God
was built in 1778-1790 years.
Most of the huts in the village of Shchuchye, as well as in the settlements of former more extensive Schuchenskoy parish, built of brick instead of wood, as in other townships of the county. Total population in Shchuchye were state peasants and had a higher standard of living compared to serfs. And it allows them to build brick houses.
